“Unique- "The one of it’s kind."
We are into an era where someone is actually working on the idea what we have just thought seconds ago, like with an ounce of delight we start researching on the idea which we have nurtured minutes ago and find that it already has prototypes, funding and 3 pretty gentlemen/women explaining how they got the same idea 3 years before you. Taking that sucker punch into our face we go back and lie on our couch waiting for some other idea to turn up.
Here is where we all go wrong. Today it’s not just about breaking the ground or to bring something completely new to the table but it’s about bringing something which will take you ahead of the competitors.
Find the unique that matters.
Lets take an example, we design a car by putting heart and soul in reconstructing it’s engine, rest we have made minor tweaks in the body just to improve engines performance a bit more. Now we take this car to the grand F1 race and somehow it starts taking the lead against reigning champions, that’s all, it has proven it’s worth and can go all the way to win the race. Moral of the story: “More than finding something completely unique, you need to find what to think about uniquely.”
You will find your kind of unique on a journey and not on your couch.
People get demoralized when they find that the idea which they came up with already exists. That is completely wrong approach. It is not necessary that you would be a founder of the first thing which comes up into your mind, you need to keep your ego aside and start researching more into that subject of your interest and show your willingness to join the group who reached to the touchline first. Try to be an asset and on the way you will find the “total unique” which you were searching for.
